It seems like we have been in lockdown for years. But in my world, it has been about 6 months. 6 whole months of not leaving home (unless for essentials)… I have had a lot of time to think. And during my many thinking-periods, one thing has definitely stood out:
LIFE WAITS FOR NO ONE.
When this year started, I had so many plans and goals and ideas… And as the pandemic took over, I allowed myself to completely fall off from all those ideas and goals. And my excuse? “Well, there is a global pandemic, so how can I achieve any of this? I can’t go anywhere, see anyone so…”
But after 6 months at home, as the world is slowly opening up again, all my excuses have started to haunt me. There is so much I could have and should have done.
But my biggest take-away is that life went on. the world might have been “closed”, but life still went on. It didn’t wait for anyone, especially not me.
At least I now know to never postpone anything. Especially not something that would be for my own good.
