LUNCHING WITH SAND BETWEEN MY TOES

If you ever want to have a meal on the beach, in a cafe style eatery, with sand between your toes while overlooking the beautiful Atlantic ocean, Grand Africa Cafe & Beach is definitely a place you should try! It is at the V&A Waterfront my absolute favourite place for any and everything in Cape Town.

I had lunch with a friend there, and it was the perfect vibe. It is right on the ocean’s shoreline, and this brings such a calm and peaceful ambience to the whole place. The food was amazing, the drinks even better and the service was top-notch. We had the friendliest waiter, who was super attentive.

I didn’t take pictures of the food, but I had a Chicken & Broccoli Pasta, my friend had a Steamed Mussel Linguine Pasta (and we had some wine and cocktails too). I did however manage a picture of the starter, an Octopus Carpaccio (middle picture), which was divine, even for someone like me who isn’t a seafood fan. The menu is quite similar to many other restaurants, so you aren’t likely to be confused as to what to order. The pricing is also very affordable (in my opinion).

I’ll definitely be going back there. What an experience.
