If you ever find yourself in the wine lands of Cape Town or surrounding areas, you have to make it a point to make a turn at the Steenberg Farm for some wine tasting, and some food.

We made a booking the week prior, because we knew a lot of people love a good wine tasting on a Sunday afternoon. No upfront fee or deposit is necessary to secure the booking.
They have the best way of starting off a wine tasting session… I have been to quite a few but non offered me a complimentary glass of Chardonnay (The Steenberg 1682 Chardonnay Clap Classique) to sip on while you browse through the various tasting options.

They give you various options for the tasting, and we ended up taking the “Classic Tasting” option. With that option, you choose four wines from the classic range of elegant wines to taste, 2 reds and 2 whites.

Personally, I’m usually more of a red wine kind of girl, I love a sweet red and a rosé. However, at this tasting, the whites really did it for me. Especially the sauvignon blanc.
I absolutely loved how I spent this Sunday with wholesome company, good food and great wine.
Thanks for reading.
